An oil-soluble sunscreen agent where when it reaches 80-85 centigrade becomes clear.
It is classified as a ”chemical” sunscreen because it works by absorbing ultraviolet rays at a long wavelength and then turning them into less harmful infrared radiation (heat).
It is marketed as a ”wide range” sunscreen because it protects the skin from the entire sun UVA.
It is one of the few chemical sunscreen agents with complete protection against ultraviolet radiation and is therefore used for the vast majority of sun protection products.
It is also used in cosmetic products to protect other ingredients from sun degradation.
In co-operation with Eusolex, it achieves high protection against UV rays.
